A group of abortion activists ate handfuls of abortion pills outside the Supreme Court in protest of its hearing about the constitutionality of Roe v Wade on Wednesday.
Standing in front of a banner that read “We Are Taking Abortion Pills Forever”, the activists chanted “Abortion pills forever!”
Another angle of the group shows them chanting, “Abortion pills are in our hands, and we won’t stop.”
Journalist Drew Hernandez commented on the protesters, calling them a “death cult.”
“DEATH CULT: Ecstatic pro-baby murder activists take abortion pills in jubilation outside SCOTUS in DC in front of a banner that says ‘we are taking abortion pills FOREVER.’ This is what a death cult looks like,” Hernandez tweeted along with the clip of the group.
As the Supreme Court began their oral arguments over the Mississippi-based Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, activists from both sides of the abortion issue demonstrated in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington, separated by a steel barricade and some police.
The Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case deals with the constitutionality of a law passed in Mississippi in 2018 outlawing abortions in cases where the unborn baby was more than 15 weeks.
