Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister left Ottawa along with his family to a ‘secret location’ after security concerns sparked over intensifying anti-vaccine mandate protests in the capital city. The protests in support of cross-border truckers began on Saturday when Parliamentary Protective Service estimated an amassment of nearly 10,000 demonstrators in Ottawa. A convoy of truckers against the COVID-19 vaccine mandate descended to the city, sparking an imminent violent turn of events
As the longest convoy in human history approaches his front door, Trudeau has taken it upon himself to go into hiding for precisely five days over COVID despite testing negative for COVID.
“Last night, I learned that I have been exposed to COVID-19,” Trudeau wrote in a Tweet. “My rapid test result was negative. I am following Ottawa Public Health rules and isolating for five days. I feel fine and will be working from home. Stay safe, everyone – and please get vaccinated.”
As the trucker convoy is officially set to arrive in Ottawa on Saturday, January 29, five days beginning on the 27th guarantees that Trudeau won’t have to face the tens of thousands of truckers and hundreds of thousands of everyday Canadians who have been tyrannized with lockdowns and vaccine mandates — even if they hold out for three days.
Amidst the escalating tensions, Canadian Parliament’s Seargent-at-Arms suspected the demonstrators could show up at official homes. So far, the PM’s office has refused to comment on the relocation of Trudeau, citing security reasons
This is, perhaps, the greatest act of cowardice from a sitting Canadian PM in this nation’s history. When Canadians finally take a stand, finally take real action, Trudeau merely waves it away, practically flipping them the bird through a single Tweet, ending it with “please get vaccinated” to rub salt in wounds he’s opened.
Trudeau’s decision to go into hiding comes only one day after he denounced the entire convoy, labelling it unacceptable and everyone participating as a “small, fringe minority.” He then went on to say that only through compliance with government mandates will Canadians ever see the return of their freedoms — truly, a dictatorial statement.
“The small, fringe minority of people are on their way to Ottawa, who are holding unacceptable views that they’re expressing, do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other, who know that following the science, and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, our rights, our values, as a country,” Trudeau stated, visibly shaken by the sheer number of freedom-loving Canadians coming to Ottawa to demand he stops the insanity.
Cory Morgan, with the Western Standard, noted on Twitter, “The truckers for freedom convoy has raised $6 million in two weeks from over 77,000 donors. The federal Liberal party raised $3.5 million in the first three months of 2021 from 33,600 people,” adding that, “You can see why the establishment is [explative] bricks in Canada right now.”
A GoFundMe campaign, launched by Tamara Lich and B.J. Dichter, to help convoy participants with fuel, food and lodging costs, has raised its goal a third time and is now aiming to raise $7-million in donations. Currently the campaign has raised in excess of $6.2 million ($4,871,142 USD approx.).
Meanwhile, Canadians across the country are gathering in support of the convoy providing necessities for the drivers and lining highways and overpasses wielding signs and Canadian flags
Conservative journalist, Ezra Levant of Rebel News told his some 296-thousand followers on Twitter, “Trudeau has weaponized police forces against the peaceful trucker convoy. Trudeau himself has made an excuse to hide from the media for five days – he’s triple-vaxxed and had a negative Covid test, but he’s hiding. He’ll let his cops block democracy. That’s how Castro does it.”
Media allegations that extremist groups and individuals are joining the trucker’s convoy have emerged. Pierre Poilievre, the Conservative Party’s finance critic, was asked, “What do you make of the extreme elements trying to latch on to the truck convoy?”
